A Song of Silver

While I'm at it, I'll go ahead and share my other work in progress as well! This one is further along - completely edited and just working its way through the "slush pile." It's a 115k-word new adult romantasy, a bit more traditional than Slayer. Here's the blurb:

Love doesn’t come easy to shapeshifters who hide in the woods. Neither does saving the world.

As far as Silver is concerned, she’s no heroine. Not after cowering behind a tree as a child while a vampire killed her parents. She’s been raised by a peaceful woodland druid ever since, steadfastly avoiding the war to the west. But when she discovers that her shifted form is a powerful creature thought to be extinct, she is given a shot at redemption. The gods have tasked her with saving the kingdom from the darkness threatening its borders.

Silver sets out to join the Prince’s Army in their fight against Erebus, the Deimon of Darkness—the demigod king whose vampire subject killed her parents. She is taken instead to the castle of Prince Bastian, who sweeps her into a world of politics and romance and keeps her from the battlefield. When prejudice and betrayal strike from within the court, Silver realizes that the “darkness” is not what it seems. But lavish courts are rarely as idyllic as they seem, and the Fates do not take kindly to being forsaken.

This one will attract the ACOTAR fans, though since it isn't a Fae story, I prefer to comp it to Amanda Bouchet’s A PROMISE OF FIRE for the Greek god elements, as well as Jennifer L. Armentrout's FROM BLOOD AND ASH for the demigod (and alt-vampire) elements.

This one may be closer to self-publishing than the other, so if you're interested in hearing when it will drop, or reading any sneak peeks, please subscribe to my mailing list!
